This revised catalogue is the fifth cumulative listing of a substantial collection of microfiche editions on the subject of Zoology.

IDC Publishers is greatly indepted to the many librarians, scholars, institutions, and private individuals, without whose unfailing cooperation in making materials available and in responding to innumerable requests for information, the filming of this large number of serials and monographs could not have been realized.

We would particularly like to express out thanks to the editor Mr L. Vogelenzang, former librarian of the Rijksherbarium at Leiden, who has advised us in many ways since the beginning of this project.

The collection
The collection in this catalogue comprises two major sections:

Serials and Large Sets, arranged in alphabetical order.

Monographs, arranged by subject according to the main divisions as in the Dewey System of Classification (with the exception of 'spiders' which are classed together with insects).

Collaborative works (i.e. those to which more than one author has been attributed) are catalogued according to the name of the first listed author. Subsequent authors can be found in the Alphabetical Index at the back.
