The Herbarium of the Moscow State University
The Herbarium
Among the relics of the Moscow State University Herbarium (MW) are some unique collections that once belonged to the academician Carl Trinius. Part of the collection, in 172 boxes, was accepted by the Moscow University in 1842. The remainder of the collection, which contained 3,281 species of gramineae, is known to have been given by Trinius himself to the Botanical Museum of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg.
