This publication contains the following 2 collections: 1. Musikgesellschaft ab dem Musiksaal. 2. Musikgesellschaft auf der deutschen Schule. From 1767 onwards, the poems for the New Year's pieces were often written by Johann Caspar Lavater, a close friend of Goethe. The pieces of 1807-1809 contain biographical information about Ulrich Zwingli; the pieces 1810-1812 contain biographical information about Martin Luther.
