The Linnean Society of London.
The Linnaean Herbarium has been in the keeping of the Linnaean Society of London since 1829. According to a statement by B. Daydon Jackson, it contains 13,832 sheets of plants as well as a number of zoological specimens. These were listed in Spencer Savage's Catalogue of the Linnaean Herbarium. Linnaeus began to form his herbarium when a student at Lund in 1727-1728. By the autumn of 1729 he had collected about 600 Swedish plants.
