The herbarium of the East India Company, the Wallich herbarium is kept at Kew. Although a considerable part of the East India Company Herbarium is made up of materials gathered by Wallich himself, during his stay in Calcutta he received a large number of specimens and whole herbaria from other collectors, such as Bélanger's specimens from Armenia and Persia, Borstow's from Nagpur, Marshall's from Aurungabad, Prince's from Singapore. This herbarium has been consulted by many botanists. (Hooker, Bentham, etc.).
