This herbarium is to be found in the Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem. It consists of approx. 20,260 species of vascular plants. An important part of the herbarium is the set of 3,360 specimens of Humboldt and Bonpland with detailed original labels, as well as types of Willdenow, Link and many others. This collection is particularly significant because it comprises such an abundance of types. Besides types of the numerous species described by Willdenow himself, it also comprises type material of other species described by his contemporaries.
