Manuscripts continue to be one of the most important sources for the study of
Islamic Law. Collections of handwritten volumes can be found both inside and
outside the world of Islam.
IDC Publishers has gathered almost 650 Arabic manuscripts on Islamic Law from three
collections : Arabic Manuscripts in the SOAS London, the Yahuda Collection
of the JNUL in Jerusalem, and the Mingana Collection in Birmingham (all published
