Publisher's notes
Many of the books have manuscript annotations, thus enhancing the importance of
the collection to the history of the book in Spanish America.
While the range of identification- and order numbers runs from CRL-1 through CRL-467,
the number of works included in this edition is 413.
Explanations for this difference include:
better identification of items as similar editions of works already described and filmed
a small number of missing/destroyed items;
the fragile status of items that in some cases prevented microfilming.
